University of Delaware’s Dean’s List

Ryan Spohr Inducted in Sigma Alpha Lambda
Ryan Spohr, a sophomore at Rowan University who is studying exercisephysiotherapy and majoring in human performance in a clinical setting, has been inducted into Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national honors and leadership organization. He also made Dean’s List in the spring semester. He is a graduate of Raritan High School.
Susan Costello Honored at East Stroudsburg’s Research Forum
The Psychology Department at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania hosted the 46th Biannual Research Forum on December 3, 2019. The research forum was started over 20 years ago by Sussie Eshun, Ph.D., professor of psychology, and Richard Wesp, Ph.D., retired distinguished professor of psychology, as a venue to showcase the outstanding student research being done in the psychology department.
Seven students were inducted into Psi Chi, the largest student psychological organization in the world with more than 700,000 members. Among them was Susan Costello, a senior from Hazlet.
Costello has also been named to the Dean’s List for the past two years. She graduated from Raritan High School.
East Stroudsburg University, one of the 14 institutions in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, is located in northeastern Pennsylvania.
Samantha McAree Named to Dean’s List
Samantha McAree, a nursing student, was one of 1,513 students to be named to the Dean’s List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Fall 2019 semester of the 2019-2020 academic year, according to Joanne Z. Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Students eligible for the Dean’s List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time.
JuliaRivelliParticipates in Intensive Research Project
Julia Rivelli of Hazlet, a member of the class of 2021 majoring in aerospace engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense, hands-on research project in Glacier National Park.
The project was entitled “Development of a Visitor Tracking Phone App: To Gain a Better Understanding of Visitor Mobility and Behavior.” In their project summary, the students wrote, “In order to have a better understanding of visitor congestion issues in Glacier National Park, a GPS tracking mobile phone app was designed to be distributed to park visitors.”
All undergraduates at WPI complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue. WPI is located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Julia, who also made Dean’s List last semester,is a graduate ofSaint John Vianney High School, Holmdel.
Tara Engelhardt Named to Dean’s List at Alvernia University
Tara Engelhardt of Hazlet has been named toAlvernia University’sDean’sListfor the fall 2019 semester. Engelhardt, a senior, studies social work. She is a graduate of Keyport High School.
To be eligible for theDean’sList, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Vito Aleo Named to Dean’s List at Plymouth State University
Vito Aleo of Hazlet has been named to the Plymouth State UniversityDean’sListfor the Fall 2019 semester.
To be named to theDean’sList, a student must achieve a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.69 during the Fall 2019 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.
Aleo, a football player for the Panthers, is a criminal justice major at Plymouth State, located in New Hampshire. He attended Raritan High School.
Vincenzo DiCarlo Named to the Assumption College Dean’s List
Vincenzo DiCarlo, of Hazlet, Class of 2022, has been named to the College’s Dean’s List for the fall 2019 semester. He is a neuroscience major and plays football for the Greyhounds.
To be named to the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.
Assumption College is located in Worcester, Massachusetts.
