Burlington Hazlet Offers ‘Family Fun Day’ Saturday

HAZLET –Burlington Stores said it will celebrate its grand opening ribbon-cutting Friday at the Hazlet Town Center on Route 35 with a special tote giveaway. A bigger event is planned for Saturday.

Here is the plan for Grand Opening Day and Family Fun Day Saturday:

  • Friday, Sept. 27:
    • 9:15 a.m. – Join store associates, local officials and community members for a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
    • 9:30 a.m. –Local residents are invited to be one of the first to shop store filled with great styles, top brands and wide assortment of merchandise at up to 60% off other retailers’ prices every day. The first 500 customers will receive a free Burlington tote.
  • Saturday, Sept. 28 –The store will open at 9:30 a.m.
    From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., customers are invited to a day of family fun. There will be gift card giveaways, kids’ activities, a DJ and more.

Burlington Stores, headquartered in New Jersey, has a reputation for being kind to its employees. So far, 60 full and part-time workers hired for the new store, with opening remaining for loading dock helpers. The company also donated $10,000 to Lillian Drive Elementary School in Hazlet as a gesture of goodwill and support for teachers and public education.

The new store has opened in a totally refreshed space at the Hazlet Town Center, 3010 Route 35, Hazlet.

The 41,425 square foot store is located at 3010 Route 35, Hazlet at the Hazlet Town Center. The former Kmart/Pathmark center is currently under renovation by a developer with plans to introduce a Panera Bread, another yet-to-be-named restaurant and a Wawa Gas Station. The gas station application is currently before the Planning Board.
Recent additions to the highly-visible site include Aldi and a large area intended for an expanded Planet Fitness. Read more about it and see plans on the Hazletonian news site.

  1. If Burlington is such an equal opportunity employer than why did my sister who applied and interviewed over two weeks ago never here back I’m assuming bc she is delayed perhaps She worked at Pathmark as a stocker for over 7 yrseuntil the Went our of business
