HAZLET –Moore Yarn is closing its retail division to focus more on instruction, finishing services and knitting/crocheting assistance at its Airport Plaza location.
The store is looking to sell all of its yarn and yarn supplies by Oct. 1 in what owner Mitzy Moore of Hazlet dubs the “Bitter-Sweet Sale.” Beginning Saturday, August 31, all items were marked 50 percent off and more.
In a statement on their Facebook page, Moore said the store is closing its retail division because their supplier is now advertising and selling online at prices they can’t match but “without the support you may need if you have a problem or need help with your project.”
The “sweet” part though is that the shop is expanding its suite of classes with expert instructor Flo Smith, as well as other related services, she said. The website describes the courses.
Moore Yarn opened in 2013.
